Penn Libraries Courseware Services Team
As Assistant Director, Educational Technology and Learning Management, Molly Bonnard manages the Courseware Support Department and oversees user support for Canvas, Penn’s Learning Management System (LMS). Molly has a B.A. in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from Penn State, and a M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel University.
As Courseware Developer, Maddy Hodges assists with the development of Canvas to better improve its functionality for faculty, students and staff. Maddy participates in groups that focus on accessibility and digital pedagogy and uses these insights to help develop a better LMS (Learning Management System) for all users. In addition to her developer role, she also provides direct user support. Maddy earned her B.S. in Computer Science from Haverford College.
As Courseware Instructional Designer, Emily Rush works closely with library and campus educational technology and IT colleagues to promote teaching and learning with Canvas, Penn’s Learning Management System (LMS). She helps faculty translate learning objectives into learning activities, leads workshops, and creates documentation. Emily has a Ph.D. in Classics from UCLA, an M.A. in Art History from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Classical Studies & Art History from the University of St. Thomas.
As Courseware Support Librarian, Katie Bertel provides user support, training, and documentation for Canvas, and other library-based technologies. Katie holds an M.L.S. from the University at Buffalo and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Manhattanville College.
