Penn Libraries Courseware Services Team
As Assistant Director, Educational Technology and Learning Management, Molly Bonnard manages the Courseware Support Department and oversees user support for Canvas, Penn’s Learning Management System (LMS). Molly has a B.A. in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from Penn State, and a M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel University.
As Courseware Instructional Designer, Emily Rush works closely with library and campus educational technology and IT colleagues to promote teaching and learning with Canvas, Penn’s Learning Management System (LMS). She helps faculty translate learning objectives into learning activities, leads workshops, and creates documentation. Emily has a Ph.D. in Classics from UCLA, an M.A. in Art History from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Classical Studies & Art History from the University of St. Thomas.
As Courseware Support Librarian, Katie Bertel provides user support, training, and documentation for Canvas, and other library-based technologies. Katie holds an M.L.S. from the University at Buffalo and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Manhattanville College.
Online Learning Support Librarian, Monique Breaux’s primary responsibility is the Open Canvas for Penn Learners environment, our public-facing Canvas environment for continuing education and professional development courses to external audiences. She also helps support the main Canvas instance and assists with special projects and external stakeholders. Monique has a M.L.I.S. from Louisiana State University, and a B.A. in History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
As Courseware Developer, Ben Rosen maintains our Course Request Form, creating administrative tools and reporting dashboards for Canvas to improve overall system management. In addition, he provides technical support for Canvas. He has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and an M.M. in Composition from the Peabody Institute of the John Hopkins University.
