Students may be unable to make submissions to Turnitin assignments or experience slowness when uploading Turnitin assignments in Canvas. This issue has been reported to the vendor and they are working to resolve it as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. Updates are being posted to their status page

March 18, 2019, 2:13pm EST: Slow Load Times with Exports and Uploads in Canvas
Some users are currently experiencing some slow load times on a very small portion of Canvas export and uploads. This includes Course imports and Gradebook imports.
Over vendor is investigating why this is happening and will provide updates as more details become available. All updates will be posted to the Canvas at Penn site and Twitter.

12/11/17: Delayed Processes in Canvas, 1:39 PM EST–RESOLVED.
Our vendor reports that some users are seeing wait times up to 5 minutes for job requests in Canvas such as exports and imports, content migrations, and notifications. Components that process these requests are working normally, but the queue is very high. It may take some time for your job requests to start processing, at which point they will run as normal.

Canvas Job Delays Affecting Processes: Wednesday, August 23, 2:28 EST–RESOLVED
Starting at about 12pm this afternoon, Canvas’s job server began experiencing some delays. Our vendor is posting status updates at: http://status.instructure.com/
Affected processes include:
- Student Enrollments
- Course Copy/Content Import
- Blueprint Syncing
- Gradebook and Assignment Downloads
- Notifications
All queued processes will complete, Â but these processes may take an hour or more to finish.

Panopto Maintenance: Saturday, August 12th, 8-11pm EST–RESOLVED

June 21, 2017: Power Outage Affecting Course Request Form, Ticketing System, & Other Penn Libraries Webpages–RESOLVED
10:44am: RESOLVED. Power has been restored to the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, so the several library webpages that were inaccessible (Course Request Form, Canvas Guides, the ticketing system for canvas@pobox.upenn.edu, etc.) are back online.
It is recommended that you perform the following actions before attempting to access sites that the outage affected:
- Clear your browser’s cache (instructions for PC and Mac).
- Close your browser.
- Open a new browser window and attempt to access the site that the outage affected (for example: the Course Request Form).
By performing these steps, you will have removed from your browser any data that might have been stored during the outage that would give the appearance of the outage persisting.

9:41am: Due to a power outage at the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, several library webpages are inaccessible, including our Canvas guides,  the Course Request Form, and Footprints, the ticketing system we use for canvas@pobox.upenn.edu.
Canvas is accessible and unaffected by this issue.
We have been told this outage may last for several hours and will share any updates as we receive them through the Canvas at Penn website and Twitter.

1:48pm: Our vendor’s Engineering and Operations team have implemented a fix to the way jobs process. This fix has been running and has improved the wait time considerably.
