Canvas operates on a monthly release cycle through which features are added or updated. Courseware Support posts highlights from Canvas’s production release notes, a link to these notes, and other relevant content to the Canvas at Penn a few days before the production release, which usually occurs on Saturdays. - Message Observers of Students Who: Instructors can include observers when sending messages from the Message Students Who link in Gradebook. This update allows instructors to collaborate with observers through targeted communication.
- Server Name Indication (SNI): Vanity Canvas URL users may encounter Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) validation errors if their browser or any other tools interacting with Canvas is not Server Name Indication (SNI) compatible. All browser versions listed in the Canvas Basics Guide are SNI compatible. Using a supported browser reduces slowness and errors within Canvas.
