September 21, 2019 Production Release Highlights

  • Instructure has also announced more feature option enforcements for January 18, 2020. Please see the Upcoming Changes page for full details.
    • Mastery Paths: This feature is currently set to ALLOW and can be enabled through Course Settings > Feature Options.
      • The Canvas MasteryPaths feature allows instructors to customize learning experiences to students based on student performance. MasteryPaths is based on differentiated assignments, an existing Canvas feature. Instructors and course designers can identify activities for each student’s learning path and differentiate assignments for required learning, optional learning, or choosing their own content and assignments within a specific path. All assignments and pages should be created before publishing course content to students. For more information please see this guide.
    • Rubric Criterion Range: Displays a Range checkbox in the rubric window and allow users to assign a rating for a range of point options instead of an individual point value. For more information please see this guide.
