Important Reminder: Blackboard Access Ends Friday, May 30th

Courseware Support at the University of Pennsylvania would like to remind our users that Blackboard will no longer be available as of 5 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014. We strongly encourage students to review the Blackboard sites from your past courses and determine if there is anything you wish to save. Students will not be able to access materials on Blackboard after that date.

The best method for downloading multiple files at once from a Blackboard site to your desktop is to use a free program called DownThemAll. This is a Firefox browser extension that lets you download all the files on a page to your desktop.

Please note that you will need to install the Firefox browser before you install DownThemAll if you do not already have this browser. You can download Firefox for free here:

To install DownThemAll,  please do the following:

1.) Go to:
2.) Click Install DownThemAllnow!
3.) On the next page, click Download Now.
4.) On the Firefox pop up window, select Install Now.
5.) Another Firefox window will ask you to restart Firefox to save this change, click Restart Firefox.

Once Firefox has restarted, you will now see a link called DownThemAll! in the File Menu under Tools. To use DownThemAll:

1.) Go to the folder or section and open it so you can see all the PDF links on your screen.
2.) Go to Tools > DownThemAll Tools > Download Them All. You will be given a screen where you can click on the dots next to each file to select them for download.
3.) Once you have selected the files, you need go to Save Files In. Click the file icon to select a folder to download the files to your computer.
Select the folder you want and click OKThen, click Start. A window will pop up displaying your progress. Each document will read complete in this window when it has finished downloading.
5.) Go to the folder on your computer where you downloaded the files to open them.
